Baileys 12th Birthday!

I'm a little behind I am going to get a lot better at updating my blog come summertime. On February 26th, Baileys Birthday she flew out to Cali to visit me! I was so excited :) I got off work that day at 3 and drove straight to the airport to pick her up! We then went to the store and picked up some stuff for dinner and her birthday cake. We also hit up a red box and she picked out Harry Potter. After the store we went to Erics house in Centerville and we ate some spaghetti, with french bread and salad. It was yummy bay had picked it out for her birthday dinner. Then Eric and Bay played Mario Kart while I made her a chocolate chocolate cake which is my favorite as well mmm! We have good taste. Once it was in the oven we all took turns playing mario kart. Then we frosted the cake and sang happy birthday to my favorite little dude! Then we go cozy and stuck Harry Potter in. Eric and Bay fell asleep half way through the movie to me tickling them haha. It was so cute, I kept looking at bay while she was sleeping I was so excited for her to come down. She is an incredible young woman and I love her to death. She has so many attributes that I as her older sister look up to her for. Since she turned 12 I thought it would be a good to think of 12 qualities I love most about her.

1. She is friends with EVERYBODY
2. She is outgoing and bubbly
3. She stands up for what she believes in even if it may not be the "cool thing" to do. And she is respected and looked up to for it.
4. She is very smart and hard working
5. She is an incredible dancer (something her sister never excelled at.)
6. She is loving towards everyone. I know that this sort of goes hand and hand with #1, but it is different. She will always play with her younger cousins and loves to. She always makes you feel special and loved when you are around her. She has a way of including everyone and makes sure you know she cares.
7. She has a very good sweet spirit. She is always "choosing the right." She does what she is supposed to and can see what is right and wrong. She has a testimony of the gospel and enjoys it.
8. She is hilarious and tries to make people laugh. She can always make me laugh with her goof ball ways like: dancing non stop all day everyday, wearing her ridiculous plastic glasses around all day just because she can (they don't have any lenses,) tripping over anything she may come in contact with, making up words that don't make sense, and many other things.
9. She is always willing to help. I noticed she is also very helpful in the kitchen. But that is also my mothers doing. She saw where she messed up with me, by not having me help her in the kitchen, resulting in me being kitchen retarded. (Sorry Eric!)
10. She knows who she is and is confident. At 12 I was the biggest dork in school and my friends can agree with that. I was always looking for myself and didn't really gain a confidence until 15-16. I know she is still figuring herself out but she is a lot farther along then I was. I just love how she doesn't care what people think about her most of the time. And at 12!
11. She loves having fun and doesn't like sitting around. She always wants to play games or be doing something. I love how she can skateboard and surf I think it is super cool! I definitely struggle with balance =/
12. I love that she is my sister!!! I know she looks up to me and that makes me want to be even more of good influence to her. I want to be better when I am around her or think of her. We need examples in our lives. I have amazing examples including my Mother, Sister and other family members. My Aunt Ashley has always been an example in my life and I've always looked up to her and admired her. As well as my Aunt Michelle.

Well there is my little memento to the best sister in the whole wide world. I couldn't have picked a better one.

Blowing out the candles!! Erics Mom got caught in the pic as well!

Kiersten's Wedding

I just realized I never wrote about Kiersten and Joshes wedding! Kiersten has been my best friend since 9th grade and is like a sister to me :) She got married and officially became a Shoemaker, March 13th at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building it was very elegant and classy. She looked breathtaking!

I was the Maid of Honor so I went to various things with Kiers. One of them being a bridal shower with her Mother-In-Law and Josh's Family and Neighbors. She NEEDED me there since she didn't know more than half of the women there! She got a lot of good stuff, one woman was very creative and made a cake out of towels with her wedding colors: Navy blue and light pink (I picked them out for her!)

This was a really cute apron she got that says, "What happens in the kitchen stays in the kitchen." I don't think kiers will ever wear it or set foot in a kitchen but time will tell!

She got a cookbook... I think these women are trying to tell her something...
Some of the Presents including the Towel Cake
Kiers and I.. Not the best pic but its the only one of us I got that day.
The fiance made an appearance and Kiersten couldn't have been more thrilled!

I also had the opportunity to throw Kiersten a bachelorette party and it was so much fun! Kiersten had a great night with her girls; especially since it was her last night of freedom! We had a lot of great food and the party was a success! It was good seeing some of our old friends, life definitely gets busier the older you get!  Here are a few pics of the party, I wish I had gotten more!
The invitation I made for the party!

I haven't seen any of the actual wedding pictures yet from the photographer but I got a few of the ceremony and reception! Kiersten looked amazing and I absolutely adored her dress. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and was everything she could've hoped for. I am just glad I was apart of it and could be there for her on her special day!
