I turn 20 in a month!

I can't believe I am going to be 20. It freaks me out! I feel like I am not that old and other times I feel like I am much older. All the girls I live with are 19 or 20 so its fun we're all that close in age. Every year I feel so blessed that my birthday is around Thanksgiving. I love being able to see my family around my birthday especially now that I live away from them.

I absolutely love my ward. I have the best bishop he is so kind and loving and really loves the gospel and treats everyone like they are his own children. He once shared that his wifes patriarichal blessing stated she would have the opportunity to raise sons and daughters. To their surprise they ended up with 7 boys and 0 girls! She is definitely a "mom" to all of us and a very sweet woman.

Since I started working at the urgent care clinic there has been A  LOT of drama. It is finally coming to a close. The Doctor and owner of the clinic was caught video taping one of the employees undressing! They have proof and he was already on probation so he has gotten into a lot of trouble. He hasn't been able to practice or see patients and the media told the world that he was video taping patients, which is a much better story, so it was chaotic for a while. We constantly recieved calls from women who "knew" something was sketchy about him and most of them wanted to check to see if they were one of the  so called patients who was video tapped. Thankfully its died down and hasn't hurt the practice to badly. We also have some awesome nurse practitioners working there that has kept the place going. Bryan Adams has actually decided to buy and run the clinic which means I will no longer have to job hunt or worry about the clinic closing down!

School is kicking my butt I am so ready for this semester to be over. Its been a hard and tedious one; good thing it will only be harder next semester! I am going to be taking physiology, microbiology, bio-chemistry, and an intro to nursing course. Talk about science over load. It will all be worth it once I am in a nursing program and finally a nurse! I have to constantly remind myself of the advantages of school and becoming a nurse. My screen saver on my cell is of a white german shepherd puppy! Reminding me that as soon as I'm done with school I'll be able to get a dog. I also want to become a certified kickboxing instructor, join a soccer league, a womens golf league, learn spanish, and learn to play the acoustic guitar. So many hobbies so little time! I need to be a nurse already!

My really good friend Kieresten just started dating one of our friends a few weeks ago and they are already talking about marriage! Its killin me they have literally only been dating 3 weeks. Provo... I solemnly swear I will not be one of THOSE people. And you can quote me on that. Oh and it started snowing this week. It is sooo cold! I hate the snow I am dreading it already. I have to commute 45 min to school every day and I will have to leave even earlier once the snow really hits. Bummer.. only 2 more months of that ghastly commute.

I just want to also take a moment to brag about my incredible sister since both her and my parents are horrid bloggers! She just made the lead role in High School Musical as Gabrielle!! I am so proud I hope I will be able to see her perform. She is such a little drama queen I love it. She is also working really hard in dance and started jr high this year and has adjusted well from what I can see. Its weird to think about.. at her age my parents moved me from cali to utah and now they moved bay from utah to cali! I know for a fact she has adjusted better than I did, I don't do as well with drastic changes.

This is me bored at work!! I'm in the xray room. I love my job its so much fun! We haven't had a doctor working a few nights out of the week so I basicaly just get paid to do my homework and answer calls and questions.

So lifes been pretty similar lately. School and work and more school. Then havin fun on the weekends!! I've been dating a few guys, and i like a few, but I'm just having fun and loving every second of it. I love my friends they always crack me up and are just fun to be around! I've been working really hard in school its been tough but i know it will pay off in the end. My roommates are great I am so glad we all get along so well! Apart from a few of them being extremely slobby. I am seriously one of the cleanest ones in the apartment! (That is just SCARY) I miss my family a lot! I can't wait until thanksgiving it seems like its been ages since I saw them. I met up with Heidi Bischoff yesterday I seriously love that girl! I love that she lives in slc I wish we got together more. But not much else is going on in my life school, work, and gym are the main things and a social life when I can :)

Finally!!

Tomorrow I move to Provo!! I can't believe it. I am going to be living at Raintree with 5 other girls all of whom I do no know. I am also going to be sharing a room and I am hoping it won't be like last time haha! Im sure it will all be fine I am not nervous one bit. I can't wait to go to my new singles ward, and meet my roommates. I have been staying at sunnys the past month and would have been lost with out her. I still have no idea how to make it up to her! I have such an amazing family.

So... lets see I finshed up my summer semester at SLCC and was taking Math and Chemistry. I got an A in both! I am finally starting to get this school thing down. Right after I finished my finals I started a 2 week 80 hour Nursing Assistant course and finished on the 15th. All I need to do now is take my Licensing Test! The same day I finished I flew to Cali for a week to visit my family and have a vacation before I get thrown back into school again!

I have, as you all may know, been planning to attend Provo college this semester and applying for their nursing program for the spring. After hearing what one of my clinical instructors had to say about the cost of Provo College vs another University I started to rethink my plan. Provo college is 2/3 more expensive then UVU and is only an Associates Program. At UVU i'd get my bachelors done and it would be cheaper! Long story short it has been a crazy 2 weeks since I decided this all last minute. UVU requires 2 more semesters of generals and it is a MUST to get only A's due to the competitiveness of their Nursing Program. I am a little nervous about that due to my track record my first year and how hard these classes are going to be, but I want it more than anything. So it will happen. Luckily I was able to register for classes at SLCC this late unfortunately UVU was completely full. I am going to be taking Human Anatomy, Biology 1010, and Math 1050. It will be a pretty tough load (not as tough as uvu; thank you for community colleges!) but I know if I work hard enough from start to finish everything will work out.

School starts Aug 26th.. which is also Travis and Mines would be anniversary. Im praying that I stay really busy that day or meet some hunk with in 2 days to take my mind off of it haha. But it's been really hard not finding anyone worthwhile these past few months and I know that the decision I made about him was the right one. It just doesn't make it any easier. I know there is a good guy out there for me somewhere! I'm glad to be going to provo and meeting a bunch of different people! I start working at an Urgent Care Center in Lehi tomorrow as well. I am so excited. Bryan Adams got me an interview there and I was hired last week! I am a CNA but they are going to train me as a Medical Assistant. I am going to be drawing blood, giving shots and doing x-rays! I am so excited!!

OH I ALMOST FORGOT! I got lasik done 2 weeks ago and it was the best decision I ever made! My vision is getting better and better each week. I am not sure if I would truly go through it again but I am so happy I did! I got a lasik procedure done called PRK. Instead of creating a flap like Lasik they poured rubbing alchohol on my eye and took off a few layers of tissue. The healing process was seriously horrible for the first 3 days. I locked myself in Alex's room took my lortab, didn't open my eyes, and put numbing drops in every hour. Sunny can vouch for me. It was horrible. I was in so much pain the first day I forgot to eat and was taking lortab every few hours and finally came upstairs to eat only to pass out! Wasn't one of my smarter moves. But the 4th day I was able to open my eyes and the rest of the week wore sunglasses everywhere I went both indoor and out. My eyes are still pretty sensitive to the sun but that is also getting better.

Sooooooooooo its been a crazy month! I am no longer working at Transfac and I am searching for a good job in Provo. My family just came into town for some Nuskin meetings in Provo and Monday we moved all my big furniture into my familys' storage unit. That was eventful. My dad ended up cutting his hand on the storage trucks old rusted door. He needs a tetnus shot... but prob won't get it! It bled pretty bad. It was good seeing my family again even though I didn't get to see bay. :( She had such a blast at grandcamp though!

I am taking Chemistry and Math 1010 right now that ends August 7th. I am also taking a 2 week Nursing assistant class starting August 3rd-15th. Then school starts the 24th which is also the same day I move into raintree! Its gonna be a hectic month.

I am so excited to be moving down to Provo finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ronan, Provo and Life

I walked out to the living room to find Alex sleep on the couch and Ronan hopped on top of her and fell asleep too!



Well its been a hard week and past few months. A few months ago I got pretty down and decided to buy Ronan (travis's dog, his roommate was sick of him and since he owns the house what he says goes.) I have also been dealing with running into Travis and his new girlfriend and I really just can't deal with it. But Ronan changed my life and made me so happy. I have missed having a dog. Unfortunatley I didn't truly think it through and after talking with my mom knew I had to sell him. Ronan suffered from seperation anxiety too and would destroy the house when I left so I had to kennel him and was kenneling him long hours due to work and school. This past Monday after having a few families interested in him I picked one and they picked him up; Monday night. Its hard not thinking about him and sucks coming home and having him not be there. He was like my baby... But I am trying to move on and stay busy and think about the future. I have decided I am going to move to Provo and go to Provo College for Nursing school. I am going to be living at Raintree with 5 other girls and share a room with some random one! It isn't quite final yet but soon will be! I finally was accepted into Provo College a few weeks ago and just got my class schedule! Next on my list is finding a parttime job in Provo. Know of any? Let me know! I am also in a dilema..due to not rechecking the contract and my roommate not reading through (or leaving out for me to read) the 2 NOTICES we recieved about renewing our apartment contract or giving them 60 days notice to when we are leaving; we are now set up on a month to month contract until the end of August which is $100 more and we are both not going to be living there! So hopefully we can find someone to renew our contract and take it over so we don't have to worry about it. Luckily the management at my complex all have sticks up their butts and wont budge or help us out at all.

Well it has been a loooong weekend and hopefully not too long of a week. Last week I went to cali to see my family and had a blast! It was my Grammys 60th birthday and everyone flew down for a suprise party. My dad bay and I hit balls friday, saturday was the party, sunday we went to nana and papas for a yummy sunday dinner, and monday i finally was able to go to the beach! The weather wasn't very good all weekend but on monday it was beautiful! This weekend was of course memorial weekend and I went golfing with my friend Haley on Saturday and on sunday went to the pool with her and got a little more of a tan!

I have decided I am moving down to provo once my contract is up on my apartment in July. I am going to be starting nursing school hopefully at Provo College I am starting the application process right now. I am very excited to get out of this town that has waaaaaay too many memories for me to handle.
