Flowers! Smelled so good. Yellow daisies were the first flowers Chris ever got me. I opened the door and he was holding them, he gave them to me and said, "I went into the store and immediately realized I had no idea how to pick flowers." Haha I love him. He now knows my fav flower is a lily!

New purse! Been wanting this forever! I love Tillies.
It was def time for a new purse. The other one I have had for like 5 years. People were starting to make fun of me.

One of the worst nights ever. Koda at the Pet ER after I had worked a 12 hour shift. Most of you probably know already but he had been very sick on a Monday throwing up and he had stopped pooping. We figured he had eaten something so we were watching him. I came home on Tuesday from work and he didn't even look at me. Koda is very hyper normally 8 month old Siberian Husky. Ya tons of energy. I listened to his belly and didn't hear any bowel sounds. I started balling and Chris and I took him to the Pet ER down the street. Our vet couldn't see him that day. We were there for 4 hours. I couldn't believe how busy that place was. While waiting I felt his belly and felt a hard lump. I was freaking out. For those who do not know dogs can die in 36-72 hours of eating something if it gets stuck. The vet came in and did his exam. We took x-rays and they found something blocked in his belly. It would have cost $4,000 if we had done surgery that night. I was a wreck emotionally and my body was just drained after working. The vet left and we said a prayer together but I literally had no idea what to do. I was scared that if we didn't do anything that night he would die. I just looked at Chris and told him to make the decision and I would be okay with whatever he chose and that I knew whatever he thought would work. He wanted to wait until morning time because he felt we could find another vet and it would cost less. I was still a little panicked but felt better. Just had to keep telling myself to have faith. I know it may seem silly to some people but he is my baby and I couldn't imagine life without him. The ER gave him some sub q fluids and a pain shot which helped, he was actually able to sleep that night. He had just been a zombie the past 2 days.

The next morning we called a vet by us that opened at 7 and they wanted us to bring him right in. We tried IV fluids for most of the day to see if it would flush out on his own and took x-rays every few hours. We got the thing to move but then it stopped moving after a while. The vet was awesome (Union Park Vet Hospital) she kept texting us to update us the entire day. But unfortunately he still needed surgery. We had taken the dogs to my in-laws that Sunday for Mothers Day and he had found one of her gardening gloves and thought it looked tasty apparently. He ended up staying the night at another Vet that we had to transport him to then came home the next morning. Kiara was so happy to see him.

This is our $2500 glove. Woo!

Online Journaling

Best thing ever invented. Fastest way to journal! I finally got ldsjournal.com to work. It would not let me login with my last laptop so I think its because of my new laptop. Its HP! I got a lenovo for xmas and it ended up having some weirdo problems. We returned it and this baby got here a couple weeks ago. I had missed my old HP so I'm glad we got this.

But online journaling. Amazing. I love it and know I will love looking back and reading whatever my silly thoughts were years down the road. I'm super bummed I didn't journal like anything of our first year of marriage! I wish I had done this a while ago. At least I have the blog to look back on.

At ldsjournal.com they will even print your journal to a journal and you can customize it! Seriously so cool. Most online journals don't do that. They can save it pdf and you can print but not to a book. I'm sure you can take that pdf to a special store or something but this is so much better! Everyone should try it. Except Chris... because he hates journaling haha. He tried journaling on the mish and he said it was the worst. So I will just journal for the both of us!

Can't believe I'm still awake. I just have to wake up at 520am no biggy. Love working on Saturdays. Good night world.

I cannot figure out how to get youtube videos on the blog. When I go to embed it, it just comes up with a small frame of my blog instead of the video... I don't understand. If anyone know how to do it let me know!

We were great little seminary goers!

I thought this was pretty funny. Blast from the past! Kierstens brother-in-law found this on youtube. I think we were Juniors. We got asked a few questions about the LDS church and seminary and was told it would air in Brazil. We all had forgotten about it! Its pretty much all in Portuguese. Except for when we were talking. Fast forward to 4:09 and that's where you start catching glimpses of Me, Kiers, Jess and Kari. I couldn't figure out how to get the actual video on my blog so go to the link below!

An Amazing Woman

When I think of an amazing couple I think of the Hinckleys. Sister Marjorie Hinckley was an amazing woman married to an incredible man. I want to strive to be like her. I'm all about quotes and looked some of hers up today. She is such an inspiration. I want to be more like her.

“Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.”

Its so easy to judge. So easy to be mean. So easy to gossip. Lets just stop and give people the benefit of the doubt. We all have trials I would not trade mine for yours. I was given mine because I can handle them. I don't think I could handle yours. :)

“  You had better be sure you are developing the kind of love and friendship with your husband that will be delightful and enduring. Let your children learn from your attitude that he is important. Encourage him. Be kind. It is a rough world, and he, like everyone else, is fighting to survive. Be cheerful. Don't be a whiner.”

I am the biggest whiner. Chris puts up and listens to a lot. I'm used to girls. We all just share our problems and we all get it. Men are so different. They don't do that. I'm slowly coming to terms with it. My husband never complains about anything. He never whines. He doesn't want to put any sort of stress on me. I'm still getting used to him not telling me what he is feeling and what is bothering him. He acts like nothing ever does. But life is hard. He is stressed with school and work and the recent loss of his grandpa :( oh gosh crying just thinking about it... I'm trying hard to remember that men are different. And Chris is the kind of guy that will not share his problems and stresses. Remember to ask your spouses whats going on in their lives and what you can do to help. And remember to live laugh and love!

“The trouble with the world and the trouble with you and me is that we don't love each other enough. And if we do, we don't bother to show it, or we don't bother to say it. If the world is to know love, it has to be in your heart and in mine.”

With the recent and shocking death of Chris's grandpas this hit home. I tell and show Chris I love him. But maybe not enough. We can always do more. At the funeral Chris's grandmother hugged us and told me Chris was a good man. He then told us to love and cherish eachother. That killed me... I'm hurting so much for her loss. I can't even imagine what it would be like to lose your spouse of so many years. Losing Chris now would tear me apart. I couldn't imagine what it would be like after so many years. Its important to show those you love how much you care about them. I have so many amazing friends that I love and miss! I have not seen so many of them since I got married. I'm gonna make it a goal to see all my friends more often! You all mean so much to me. Shout out to Val, Em, Nicole, Kelly, Rachel, Callie, Jessica, Carson, Elle, Ashlee! I feel like I haven't seen you guys forever, I miss you!  My family has done so much for me. I couldn't stand to lose any of them any time soon. There are no words to describe how much my family means to me.

“People are wonderful. Each one has a story, each something to give, each knows something interesting, something that can make your life richer.”

What a fun way to view people. So positive. So true. You can always learn something from someone or be humbled by anothers experiences.

"There are some years in our lives that we would not want to live again. But even these years will pass away, and the lessons learned will be a future blessing."

Oh how this is true! Chris reminds me of this a lot. I wish I could change a lot of things about my past. But I wouldn't be the woman I am today without them. They have made me who I am. I probably wouldn't admire and love so many things about Chris if I hadn't gone through the things I had. I love when he tells me how much he loves the person I am. Or if I become upset about past mistakes how he just hugs me and tells me I needed to go through the trials I've had or I wouldn't be the woman I am today.

Read this article on marriage and the hinckleys. So cute I love it. I love that Chris lets me be whoever I want. No matter what he supports me. If I want a girls night he says that will be great go have fun! If I wanna relax all day and do nothing he says good for you you deserve it! If I wanna wear short shorts to the gym he says heck ya! Haha. He never second guesses those decisions. I love that I am truly able to be myself and know I will be supported.

Welp back to studying... I love biology so much.
